These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Sentient Studio.

By engaging Sentient Studio, you agree to the following:

1. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a signed agreement and deposit

  • The deposit is non-refundable and secures your date

  • The remaining balance is due prior to the wedding date (as outlined in your invoice)

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • If you cancel your booking, the deposit is non-refundable

  • Rescheduling requests will be accommodated where possible, but are not guaranteed

  • If Sentient Studio is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, a suitable replacement may be arranged or a refund issued

3. Coverage & Deliverables

  • Coverage hours and deliverables are outlined in your booking agreement

  • Final image selection and editing style remain at the discretion of Sentient Studio

  • RAW/unedited files are not provided

4. Artistic Approach

Sentient Studio works in a documentary style, capturing events as they naturally unfold.

  • Specific shots or outcomes cannot be guaranteed

  • Clients acknowledge they are familiar with the photographer’s portfolio and style

5. Image Delivery

  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on workload and season

  • Images are delivered via an online gallery

  • Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images

6. Usage & Copyright

  • Sentient Studio retains copyright of all images

  • Clients are granted a personal-use license to share and print images

  • Images must not be altered, edited, or used for commercial purposes without permission

7. Promotional Use

  • Sentient Studio may use images for portfolio, website, social media, competitions, and publications

  • If you prefer your images not be used, this must be requested in writing prior to the wedding

8. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate event details and timelines

  • Clients are responsible for obtaining permission from venues where required

  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward the photographer

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Sentient Studio will take all reasonable care in capturing and delivering images

  • In the unlikely event of technical failure, loss, or unforeseen circumstances, liability is limited to the amount paid

  • Sentient Studio is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control (weather, venue restrictions, guest interference, etc.)

10. Travel & Accommodation

  • Travel fees may apply depending on location

  • For destination weddings, accommodation may be required and will be outlined in your agreement

11. Force Majeure

Sentient Studio is not liable for failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, travel disruptions, or government restrictions.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
